Chapter 14

Return to Blood on the River Chapter Summaries

Chapter 14
In this chapter we are talking when Jamestown has been built and the war between them and the Powhatan Indians has finally ended. First, the people of the Jamestown have recovered from their deadly sickness. It was safe to go hunting, cropping, and gather fresh water. They managed to gather enough food and supplies to last the winter. They soon decided to send several men to try to find a trail to India. Only some of the men had arrived safely. Captain Smith had happened to be missing from the small group of men. The travelers explained that the last time they saw Captain Smith and the others was at an Indian village. They all hoped to find them soon.
